1. Scope
This Disclaimer ("Disclaimer") applies to the Piveth website (piveth.com), marketing pages, documentation, emails, and all applications, dashboards, voice features, chat, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Roktim Saha, trading as Piveth.
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Disclaimer, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
This Disclaimer supplements—not replaces—our Terms. Where both apply, the Terms govern contractual rights and obligations; this Disclaimer provides additional notice of limitations inherent to software, AI, and user-supplied financial data.
2. Who operates Piveth
The Service is operated by Roktim Saha, trading as Piveth, an independent software product. Piveth is not a corporation, bank, broker-dealer, investment company, insurance company, credit institution, payment institution, or licensed accounting or law firm unless we explicitly state otherwise in writing.

3. What Piveth is — and is not
Piveth is an AI-assisted finance organization tool for founders and operators. It helps you track capital, expenses, revenue, burn, runway, cash flow, and project-wise finances; log entries via text or voice; view dashboards, calendars, and reports; run what-if scenarios; receive alerts; and collaborate in workspaces.
Piveth is not:
- A substitute for statutory books of account, audited financial statements, or tax filings;
- A certified ERP, payroll system, invoicing platform with legal validity, or GST/VAT compliance engine;
- A source of truth for bank balances unless you manually keep it aligned;
- A fiduciary, trustee, custodian, or agent acting on your behalf in financial markets; or
- A guarantee that your business will survive, raise capital, or achieve any financial result.
Any reference to "runway," "health," "orbit," or similar branding is metaphorical product language—not a prediction, rating, or credit assessment.
4. No professional advice
You must not treat anything on the Service as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, invest, borrow, lend, hire, fire, structure an entity, file taxes, or take any legal or regulatory action.
Decisions about incorporation, fundraising, equity, debt, contracts, employment, intellectual property, sanctions, export controls, anti-money-laundering obligations, and sector-specific licensing require qualified professionals in your jurisdiction. No advisor–client, fiduciary, or trustee relationship is created between you and Piveth or its founder by your use of the Service.
If AI or dashboard text resembles advice, it is generated algorithmically from your inputs and general patterns—not from a licensed human professional reviewing your circumstances.
5. Your data drives every number
All financial figures displayed in Piveth—capital, expenses, revenue, profit and loss, burn rate, runway months, cash flow, project allocations, calendar totals, and exports—depend entirely on data you or your team enter, import, edit, delete, reset, or instruct the AI to record.
We do not independently verify your entries against bank statements, invoices, contracts, or government records. Errors, omissions, duplicate entries, wrong currencies, misdated transactions, or incomplete project assignment will produce incorrect outputs.
You are solely responsible for reviewing, reconciling, and correcting your ledger before relying on any figure for operations, board meetings, investor updates, lending applications, tax reporting, or legal proceedings.
6. Calculations & metrics
6.1 Estimates, not guarantees
Runway, burn, affordability answers, health indicators, weekly pulses, scenario comparisons, and similar metrics are mathematical estimates based on your data and built-in assumptions (e.g., averaging periods, treating capital as available cash, projecting linear spend). They are illustrative only and may diverge sharply from reality.
6.2 Assumption limitations
Real businesses experience seasonality, one-time costs, revenue spikes, FX movement, inter-project transfers, accrual vs. cash timing, and events the Service cannot predict. Piveth does not model every financial nuance unless explicitly designed to do so—and even then, outputs may be wrong.
6.3 Scenarios & what-if mode
Saved scenarios (e.g., hiring, new spend) are hypothetical simulations. They do not execute transactions, bind you to decisions, or predict future performance. Actual results will differ.
6.4 Currency & locale
Default settings may use INR and en-IN conventions. Multi-currency or cross-border operations may require manual handling. We do not guarantee compliance with local numbering, rounding, or reporting standards in every country.
7. AI, voice & automation
7.1 AI can be wrong
Piveth uses artificial intelligence and automated parsing. AI may misunderstand natural language or speech, mishear amounts, confuse lakhs and crores with smaller numbers, assign entries to the wrong project, invent transactions, skip confirmations, or produce confident but false answers.
7.2 You authorize automated actions
When you ask Piveth to log, edit, delete, reset finances, navigate the dashboard, or perform similar actions, you authorize the Service to execute those commands in your workspace. Verify every automated change. Use undo, edit, or support channels if something is wrong—we are not liable for AI or parsing errors you fail to catch.
7.3 Voice & microphone
Voice features use your device microphone and may send audio to third-party speech services. Transcription errors are common in noisy environments or with accents and domain-specific terms. Do not record third parties without lawful consent.
7.4 No model warranty
AI features depend on third-party models and your API keys. We do not warrant accuracy, latency, availability, or continued compatibility with any provider or model version.
8. Third parties & bring-your-own-key (BYOK)
Parts of the Service require or optionally use credentials you supply—for example OpenAI (AI chat and parsing) and Deepgram (voice). Google Sign-In may be used for authentication.
Those providers are independent third parties. Their terms, pricing, outages, data retention, content policies, and security practices apply to data they process. Piveth is not responsible for their acts, omissions, policy changes, or failures.
You are solely responsible for: obtaining and paying for API keys; complying with provider terms; securing keys on your devices; and any charges incurred through your keys—including accidental high usage from misuse or automation loops.
Links on our site to third-party websites, social profiles, or tools are provided for convenience. We do not endorse and are not liable for external content or services.
9. No banking or payments
Piveth does not hold customer funds, issue payment instruments, process card or UPI transactions, or connect to your bank accounts as part of the standard Service. We are not a payment service provider under RBI, PSD2, or similar regimes unless we explicitly announce and license such features separately.
Do not use Piveth as evidence of solvency, creditworthiness, or regulatory capital for third parties without independent verification by qualified parties.
10. Reports, exports & records
Dashboards, PDFs, CSV exports, calendar views, activity feeds, and audit trails reflect system state at the time of generation based on your data and software logic. They may contain errors, lag behind live edits, or omit context available only outside Piveth.
Exports are not statutory financial statements, tax returns, or legally certified documents unless a qualified professional prepares and signs them separately. Maintain official books of account and backups independent of Piveth.
Soft-deleted or reset data may remain in backups or activity history for a period as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Beta & availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, specific uptime, error-free operation, backward compatibility, or permanent availability of any feature. Maintenance, updates, provider outages, or force majeure may interrupt the Service.
Free or trial tiers may be limited, modified, or discontinued. Future paid features and pricing are not guaranteed to remain at current levels.
12. Website & marketing content
Landing pages, onboarding copy, FAQs, emails, social posts, and promotional materials may describe capabilities, roadmaps, or outcomes in aspirational terms. Such content is forward-looking and informational—not a promise that features exist today, will ship on a timeline, or will produce specific results for you.
Examples, sample dashboards, or demo numbers on marketing pages are illustrative unless labeled as your live data. Past performance of other users—or hypothetical scenarios—is not indicative of your results.
Testimonials, founder stories, or logos, if shown, reflect individual experiences and do not constitute guarantees. We may edit testimonials for length or clarity.
13. Team workspaces
Shared workspaces allow owners and admins to invite members with role-based access. Piveth is not responsible for:
- Who you invite or fail to remove;
- Unauthorized viewing or editing by members you granted access;
- Disputes between co-founders, employees, or investors over data in a workspace; or
- Financial or legal consequences of collaborative entries made by any member.
Workspace administrators bear primary responsibility for access control and internal governance.
14. Security & data loss
We implement security measures described in our Privacy Policy, including encryption for sensitive fields where implemented. However, no system is completely secure. You use the Service at your own risk.
We are not liable for unauthorized access caused by weak passwords, shared credentials, leaked API keys, phishing, malware on your devices, or actions of workspace members you authorized—except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You are responsible for maintaining independent backups of critical financial records and for incident response on your side.
15. International users
Piveth is operated from India. If you access the Service from other countries, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws—including data protection, tax, financial promotion, and export or sanctions rules.
Information on the Service may not be appropriate or lawful for distribution or use in all jurisdictions. We make no representation that the Service complies with laws outside those we intentionally target.
Users in sanctioned or embargoed territories or on restricted-party lists must not use the Service where prohibited by applicable law.
16. Limitation of liability
Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited as set out in Section 15 of our Terms of Service (generally, the greater of fees paid in the prior twelve months or USD $100 equivalent), except where such limitation is prohibited by mandatory law.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
17. Your responsibility
You agree to use the Service lawfully and to obtain independent professional advice before making material financial, tax, or legal decisions. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of data you submit and for harm caused by misuse, including providing the Service to others as if it were regulated advice.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Piveth and its founder from claims arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, your violation of law or our Terms, and disputes with workspace members or third parties, as detailed in our Terms of Service.
18. Changes
We may update this Disclaimer at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Material updates may also be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate.
Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. If you disagree, stop using the Service.
19. Other legal documents
This Disclaimer should be read together with:
- Terms of Service — binding contract, acceptable use, termination, dispute resolution (India; Kolkata jurisdiction), and full warranty and liability provisions;
- Privacy Policy — how we collect, use, and protect personal data under GDPR, UK GDPR, India DPDP, and similar frameworks; and
- Third-party provider terms — OpenAI, Deepgram, Google, and others you choose to use.
If there is a conflict between this Disclaimer and the Terms regarding contractual liability or dispute resolution, the Terms control.
